RC Racing
So toy cars right?
For me, remote controlled racing is a practice of finding balance in life.
I’ve not found any other hobby as accessible that allows such a direct cause and effect relationship that illustrates that full and complete balance is required to achieve something better. Every track, corner, and condition provides countless opportunity to remind myself this critical life lesson and sometimes losing can provide more insight than winning.
Thankfully we have rather advanced hobby level cars, tracks, and a growing community of individuals to compete at extremely high levels locally and across the world. I’ve learned something new each time I’ve jumped on the track in competition and I’ve been able to apply that to many other aspects of life.
Helping others…
The 1/28th scale community spans the world with a growing US community and racing calendar. With growth, an increasing number of manufacturers and shops are making some extremely innovating products. I’ve had the pleasure of partnering with RC Atomic and Marka Racing; both proven countless times that building great products means supporting their consumers. It’s been very rewarding to have the trust to then further help others in the scale.
The bulk of my work falls under WolframRC, an Iowa based hobby store that caters to the 1/28th market. There I’ve helped build a small but important group of racers dedicated to building guides and support information for consumers as well as race at many national and international races. You can find the bulk of that work at the WolframRC team site and in my blog.
